Installed in days.
Billed on output.
Kinetica builds deployable robotic workcells for packing and palletising. Commission in days, retarget without engineers, pay per unit produced. No eighteen-month integration projects. No six-figure CapEx risk.
Automation doesn’t fail at the robot. It fails at deployment, changeover, and reliability.
Labour is the bottleneck and getting scarcer. Seasonal peaks break fixed capacity. And traditional integration takes twelve months, six figures, and a systems integrator on speed-dial every time a SKU changes. FlexCell is a workcell you deploy like capacity, not infrastructure.
Speed
FlexCell workcells are modular and retrofit-ready. No civil works. No integration marathons. Transport in, commission, run.
Simplicity
Recipe-based changeovers your operators run. Switch SKU, pack format, or product type without calling in an integrator.
Sovereignty
Robotics-as-a-Service, built in Australia and New Zealand. Full stack in-house — motion, vision, firmware, and cloud.
Kinetica FlexCell
A deployable robotic workcell for end-of-line packing and palletising. One platform. Recipe-configurable for your workflow. Installed in days, redeployed between sites as your operation changes.
Pallet stacking
CARTONS · CASES · MIXED-SKU
End-of-line carton and case palletising from conveyor. Vision-guided, layer-pattern optimisation, single or mixed-SKU.
Bag stacking
PET FOOD · FERTILISER · FLOUR · FROZEN
Deformable pack palletising, 3kg+. Vision handles shape variability that defeats conventional palletisers.
Breweries & beverages
CANNING · BOTTLING · DOWNSTREAM OF LABELLER
End-of-line for craft breweries and soda. Integrates downstream of canner or box builder. Per-unit billing (~$0.035/can). Compact footprint.
Food & FMCG
PACKING · DOSING · QC · PALLETISING
Food-safe design with production telemetry — units, rejects, uptime. Staged deployment: manual-first, then robotic layer.
More than a robot.
A production system.
Every FlexCell ships with the same core platform. The software moat gets better every season — on your cell and across the fleet.
Vision & QC
3D machine vision with YOLOv8n-seg for object detection, defect inspection, and pick-point planning. Runs on-device at the edge via Qualcomm NPU.
IoT Telemetry
Real-time production data: units processed, rejects, faults, interventions, uptime. Dashboards for operators and management. You see what we see.
Re-trainable AI Models
New product or SKU? Upload labelled images, trigger SageMaker training, quantise for edge NPU, deploy OTA to the fleet. ~$12 per run, 15-minute turnaround.
Remote Portal
Fleet dashboard, remote terminal, jog controls, user management, billing. Monitor every arm from your browser. 3-tier org model: Kinetica → Integrator → Client.
What’s inside every cell
FLEXCELL // CORE PLATFORM // REV 2.2Foundry.Node
In-house control stack with real-time trajectory planning and a 200Hz feedback loop. Built on .NET 8 and C on STM32.
3D scene reconstruction
Object detection, defect classification, and pick-point planning. Eliminates the mechanical jigs that make traditional cells brittle.
Integrated safety monitoring
E-stop chains and area scanners designed for retrofit into existing environments. Safety is the spec, not the paperwork.
On-prem first, cloud-aware
Cloud telemetry, OTA updates, and performance reporting. Runs locally even if the internet drops.
Robotics-as-a-Service.
You don’t buy the hardware. You buy capacity.
Seasonal contracts
Deploy for peak, pull back for shoulder. Mobilisation fee covers install and pullback. No long-term lock-in.
Usage-metered billing
Platform fee plus per-unit completion. Telemetry-backed. You see what we see — no manual counting.
Built-in improvement
Every fleet deployment feeds back into the system. Recipe optimisation, better models, predictive maintenance.
Discovery → Pilot → Rollout.
De-risk at every stage.
Every engagement starts with a conversation. Then a site visit. Then numbers. We tell you honestly whether FlexCell fits — and if it doesn’t, we say so.
Site walk + task scoring
We walk your line, watch the operation, and score tasks against our automation-fit criteria. You get a written assessment: is the task automatable, what’s the expected throughput, what are the integration touchpoints, what would a pilot scope look like.
Single cell, real product
One FlexCell, on your site, running your product, measured against agreed success criteria — throughput, uptime, variance, quality, changeover time. Go/no-go at the end. If the numbers don’t work, you walk with data and a clear answer.
Scale what works
Additional cells on the same site, expansion to new sites, or new workflows on the same platform. FlexCells are redeployable — a cell that runs ice in Christchurch summer can run fruit in Hawke’s Bay autumn. Same platform, different recipe.
Three questions we ask
before we touch a line.
What’s the bottleneck?
Where does throughput stall? Labour availability, changeover time, quality rework, or peak-season surge? Automating the wrong task is expensive.
What’s the throughput target?
Units per hour, uptime percentage, variance tolerance. We need numbers, not aspirations. Without them, there’s nothing to measure the pilot against.
What are the constraints?
Space, ceiling height, floor condition, power, compressed air, IT/OT network, safety zones, traffic. These define the cell layout before we cost it.
The numbers that decide go/no-go
- Throughput — units per hour, sustained
- Uptime — percentage of scheduled run time
- Variance — consistency across shifts
- Quality — defect and rework rate
- Changeover — minutes between SKU switches
Go/no-go at the end of pilot
No obligation to proceed to rollout. If the numbers don’t work, you walk away with the data. If they do, we move to seasonal contracts on terms you’ve already seen.
Pilots are priced to be low-risk relative to the cost of getting automation wrong. The mobilisation fee covers transport, install, commissioning, and pullback — not hardware purchase.
Sovereign automation capability,
built in Australasia.
Kinetica Systems is an R&D-driven manufacturer developing deployable robotic automation for industrial packing and palletising. We design, build, and deploy from Australia and New Zealand — motion control, embedded firmware, machine vision, and AI-assisted toolpath planning all developed in-house.
Traditional automation doesn’t work for operations that need to flex. Fixed lines are expensive, slow to install, painful to change. Labour is scarce and getting scarcer. The gap between what factories need and what integrators deliver is widening. We’re building into that gap.
Automation should be deployed like capacity, not installed like infrastructure. Fast to commission. Easy to retarget. Priced on output.
The factory of the future isn’t a greenfield smart factory. It’s the existing shed with better tools in it — and those tools should be built in AU/NZ, not imported.

Technology // full stack in-house
Kinetica Systems Pty Ltd is incorporated in Australia (NSW) with operations spanning AU and NZ. Near-term focus: seasonal packing and palletising across New Zealand. Roadmap: Australia expansion and the Velox Newcastle advanced manufacturing hub.
Pre-seed stage. Supported by Industry Growth Programme (IGP) grant applications, strategic advisors, and early commercial partnerships in NZ food, beverage, and brewing.
Tell us about your operation.
We’ll tell you honestly if FlexCell fits.
No generic demos. No cold pitches. Every engagement starts with a conversation about your throughput, your constraints, and your labour profile. Either we scope a pilot — or we tell you why it’s not a fit and point you somewhere useful.
